We’re so excited to finally share something we’ve been quietly working on behind the scenes…
Our brand new Transport 17 website is live!
This isn’t just a fresh coat of paint. It’s a reflection of who we are, who we serve, and the community that keeps us moving every single day.

Why We’ve Updated It
Transport 17 has always been about people — local people supporting local people. But as we’ve grown, we realised our website needed to grow with us.
We wanted something that:
Makes it easier for people to find out how to book
Clearly explains how to volunteer
Showcases our amazing team and trustees
Highlights our fundraising needs
And most importantly — reflects the warmth and care at the heart of what we do
Making It Simpler, Clearer & More Accessible
For many of our passengers and families, simplicity matters. So we’ve worked hard to make the new site:
✔ Easy to navigate
✔ Clear and straightforward
✔ Accessible on phones and tablets
✔ Informative without being overwhelming
Whether you’re looking to book transport, volunteer your time, fundraise, or simply understand what we do — everything is now easier to find.
Shining a Light on Our Community Transport Volunteers
Transport 17 simply wouldn’t exist without our volunteers.
Our new “Meet the Team” section celebrates the incredible people who work behind the scenes in the office and those who give their time : drivers, passenger assistants, fundraisers and trustees, all helping older and vulnerable members of our community stay connected.
If you’ve ever thought about volunteering, this is your sign to take a look.
We are especially keen to welcome new fundraising volunteers, including sixth form students looking to build experience for university applications or Duke of Edinburgh awards.

Supporting Our Future
Community transport is vital. For many of our passengers, it’s the difference between isolation and connection.
Our website now makes it easier than ever to donate and support our services , because every contribution helps us keep our minibuses on the road and our community moving.
A Personal Note
Building this website has been a real labour of love. Transport 17 is run by local people, for local people and this new site reflects that spirit.
We hope you’ll take a look, explore, and share it with others.
And as always, thank you for being part of the journey. Together, we keep our community moving.
A Final Plea - Help Us Keep Moving
Transport 17 is more than a minibus service.
For many of our passengers, it’s the only way they can get out — to see friends, attend lunch clubs, or simply feel part of their community again.
We receive limited funding, and rising fuel, maintenance and insurance costs mean we must work

harder than ever to keep our buses on the road.
If you believe older and vulnerable people deserve connection, dignity and independence , please consider supporting us.
Whether it’s a one-off donation, becoming a regular supporter, or volunteering your time to fundraise, every contribution makes a real difference.
Your support doesn’t just fund transport. It funds friendship. It funds independence. It funds belonging. Donate today and help us keep our community moving. Together, we can ensure no one is left behind.
