At Transport 17, every journey is about so much more than getting from A to B.

For many of our passengers, mainly in their 80s and 90s, our minibus is their link to the outside world. It’s the way they get to a lunch club, see familiar faces, enjoy a hot meal, have a laugh, and feel part of the community.

For some, it may be the only time they leave the house all week.

That’s why regular donations matter. They help us keep that lifeline running.

A Small Monthly Gift Can Make a Big Difference

We know times are tough for lots of people, and we never take support for granted. But even a small regular donation can have a real impact.

Just a few pounds each month can help us:

  • keep our minibuses on the road

  • support journeys to lunch clubs and social activities

  • help older people stay connected

  • reduce loneliness and isolation

  • plan ahead with more confidence

It doesn’t have to be a huge amount. Regular giving works because lots of small acts of kindness come together to make something really powerful.

Why Regular Support Helps So Much

One-off donations are always appreciated, but regular donations give us something extra important: certainty.

When we know support is coming in each month, we can plan ahead. We can organise journeys, look after our vehicles, support our volunteers and keep services running for the people who depend on them.

Without steady support, it becomes much harder to know what we can commit to.

And for our passengers, cancelled journeys can mean much more than a missed trip. It can mean another week at home alone.

Keeping Our Buses Safe and Reliable

Our minibuses work hard, and like all vehicles, they need regular care.

Servicing, safety checks, fuel, repairs and maintenance are all essential if we are going to keep passengers travelling safely and comfortably.

Regular donations help us plan for these costs instead of constantly reacting when something goes wrong.

When people rely on you to get out and stay connected, reliability really matters.

More Than Transport

What we do may look like transport from the outside, but to our passengers it is much more.

It is independence. It is friendship. It is routine. It is confidence. It is something to look forward to.

We hear all the time how much these journeys mean. A lunch club trip is not just a lift, it is a reason to get ready, get out, see people and feel included.

That is the difference your support makes.

It’s Now Easier Than Ever to Donate

We’ve made it much easier to support Transport 17 with new donation buttons on our website.

Whether you can give £1, £5, £10 a month or whatever feels right for you, every regular donation helps keep our wheels turning and our passengers connected.

If you’re able to, please consider setting up a monthly gift TODAY.

Your kindness could help make sure an older person still gets their weekly trip out, their hot meal, their chat with friends, and their connection to the world outside their front door.

Thank you so much for supporting Transport 17.

It really does mean the world. x
